Commissions

So, you are thinking about commssioning me to paint something for you? Fantastic! What does it mean to have a piece commissioned?

A commissioned painting is a piece of artwork where the customer/client has a say in what the subject matter is to be created. I meet with the client, discuss their ideas for the content and color schemes, and we agree on a size, price, and an estimated time for completion. I treat it as a collaborative exchange, however it is only my hand which does the work.

Whether the commissioned piece is to be completely abstract and non-representaional or a realistic portrait of the client, the procedure is primarily the same.

If a portrait is to be painted, I will usually take the photos to work from providing the situation permits it. In certain situations, client produced photos may be used.

I paint in several styles, so I am open to painting anything from the abstract to the realistic nature of a portrait piece and everything inbetween.

If you are interested in commissioning a piece, please contact the me under the "Contact" link and get started on your new collaboratively commissioned painting!

Thanks!
